A Blogging Dream?

A recent sunset-

Yesterday, with a few minutes available, I dropped by to visit a few blog-friends.
This must have had some impact, because I had this dream last night...

Bucky and her husband dropped by my home (from Michigan?) to invite my husband and myself to a birthday celebration they were holding for me the following day in Lansing.
The reason they'd come was to introduce me to their children! Rather than bring the children, Bucky brought along a photograph which she'd created out of Play Doh.
(I knew I was dreaming and I recalled seeing a Play Doh photo over at Jessica's.)
Now I know Bucky has no children, but she had several blonde-headed girls, which I recognized as Kristine's daughters.
We all drove to Michigan that night, and awoke the following evening amidst sleeping bags jumbled all over Bucky's living room.
Our gracious hostess asked us to hurry outside, where the party was to be held.
Now I've never been to Lansing, but in my dream it looked like New York City.
The street was wide, and it appeared to be an older neighborhood full of brownstones and cottages huddled together. Looking down the street, which seemed to go on forever, you could see the city lights of downtown.
All of a sudden, people came out of the woodwork! Balloons appeared, as well as a parade of sorts.
Someone told me that Squirl and Ichabod were on their way.
I was then introduced to Indiaiynke and her husband, who lived across the street.
Just as I was being handed a telegram, expressing regrets from Susie, I awoke.

I'm thinking that Susie just didn't want to be associated with a known Blogoholic!

I just lost the comment I made. Sheesh.

Anyway, I first wanted to say that I love the sunset picture. We haven't had enough partly sunny days to get one of these.

And I love your dream. I dream about other bloggers sometimes. This one is great! :-)

Now this is strange! I was just over at your blog trying to comment. I had a loooong comment going, which I lost twice! I'll try later.
I hadn't planned to blog today, but this dream was so fresh in my mind that I had to!

I've dreamt of bloggers myself. I always wake up feeling sort of embarrassed. Like I shouldn't be dreaming about people I don't even know...then again, isn't that what fantasies are about? Ok, that sounded really wrong because I basically only read women's blogs. THE DREAMS AREN'T THOSE TYPES OF DREAMS, I swear!

The one male blog I read (William) hasn't appeared in any of my dreams yet...DAMMIT!

The picture is beautiful.

I haven't dreamed about blogging yet, but I play word games online, and occasionally I wake up thinking of word combinations. (I'm so addicted to my computer.)

Oh my!
I noticed the bloggers I dreamt about were all people whose faces have at some time appeared on their blogs, except Susie (who sent regrets anyway.)
I'm guessing William is a hottie?

indiaiynke-
Thanks! Actually, my birthday was on the 16th of last month.
All I'd eaten that day was soup... but I did take a sleeping pill before bedtime. That usually does it!
I had another dream last night, and might write it down today. It was quite a nightmare!

kat-
Thanks! I took the picture from behind the barn/garage.
I do the same thing as you- word games and even Mah Jongh (sp?) get played in my sleep.
Have you seen this one?:

Likely because you're both busy and normal?

I've never had a blogger dream either. But my dreams are usually quite detailed and complex. I have even had "movie dreams" where at the end of the dream, credits roll. SERIOUSLY!!

Credits roll? That is interesting!
Probably the strangest thing about my dreams is that I always know that I'm dreaming, and that I critique the plots during the dream.

Um, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! So, Kristine has gone from trying to pawn her new dog off on me to dropping her daughters at my doorstep and then vanishing, and right before your birthday party, too!
The nerve...

And I would definitely throw your party in Ann Arbor and not Lansing. The cops are more lenient. ;)

And I never figured Susie to wuss out on a party...

Kristine only lives about an hour and a half from me. You'd think she'd have dropped the girls off up here!
Ann Arbor it is! Do you think we could blog from jail if things got a little rowdy?
I was a bit disappointed with Susie's absence. Heck, if we made the drive from California to Michigan overnight... well she and Jif could have done it too!

Just visiting for the first time and enjoyed reading your blogs. I visited your other blog from jac`s and then ended up here.
Never dreamt of bloggers, but often wake up with the solution to a problem I was pondering about the night before.Ever have that happen to you?
Happy dreams to you!!

Welcome to my blog!
I just returned from visiting yours.
Seldom have I awoken with the solution to a problem, but I'd think this is what our minds are attempting to do while we sleep.
Happy (and productive) dreams to you too!

Yeah, where were you?
You'd think (with all the driving we were doing) we could have headed North and picked you up!

I haven't had a blog dream yet.... but the other night I dreamt that I had dinner with George Bush and I was giggling and laughing and telling him I had no idea he was so much fun!?! so, I am sure a blog dream isn't far behind!

Thank God you weren't having a sexual dream about 'Dubya...'
Hmmm, you did say you told him he was "fun!"

I have had dreams that I figured out were dreams while in them. Then I could change whatever I wanted. I would take characters out, put characters in, give myself special powers, travel to places that I wanted to go. I have been able to rewind dreams when I didn't like the outcome even if I wasn't completely aware that they were dreams, then I could keep retrying until I got an ending that I was satisfied with.

Wow, you've taken dream control to a whole 'nother' level!
I can sometimes change a dream direction, but not too often.

Ah! Thank you for bringing me back from my work-a-dream world. (Rhymes with workaholic.) Yes..., it sounds like a couple lifetimes stirred in with a pinch of blog for good flavor. Dream on!

The power of suggestion might induce blogger dreams now?

Glad to see you're still active in blogworld!
I'm just glad the blogger dream wasn't a nightmare.

Oh, my gosh, you cracked me up here. I was eagerly anticipating finding out if I was at this shindig, and then I discover I sent a TELEGRAM! PWAHAHAAHAAA. Oh, that is funny. I remember how I used to think the commenters at dooce who told her they had dreams about her were wackjobs. Then I had a dream about Bucky! I don't remember what it was, but I know I did. I hope you have a sequel. I hope I show up after all!

Y'know I was thinking (in my dream) that since Bucky drove from Michigan and back, that you could have at least driven over from Pretty City!
Hope you can make it next time!
Yep, I do need a sequel.

goddess-
Yes, all is well. I just haven't been blogging lately.
I have company leaving here today, so perhaps I'll be back in action this weekend!
You have a wonderful weekend too!

I've been stopping in, seeing the same post, and zipping on to the next blog. Sorry, but I've been kinda busy too, lately. But I figured I should stop in and see if anyone had started up a party or anything. :-)

I have been here every day for a week and you haven't posted. Hope everything is ok. I have had two blogs just disappear on me and I'm getting a little paranoid!

I'm guessing that although dreaming, I was aware it would be an awful long journey for you to make.

squirl-
I'll probably blog today, if I remember how!
No, no parties here yet...

killerchiapet-
Thanks for the belated birthday wishes!
I'd better start blogging before someone starts that party!

kat-
All is well!
I've been busy, which is a good thing... keeps me out of trouble.
I hate when bloggers just disappear!
