Here's One For The Googlers

The Pyramid at Telume-  Posted by Picasa

Checking my stats recently, I found the most common Google search linking to my site was "Telume Mexico."

Oddly enough, my site is the only site given with that particular search.

The only time, (other than this) Telume is mentioned was in a post where I wrote that my ex-husband had threatened to throw me off the pyramid (shown above.)

Although the ex was of Spanish descent, he must have received some psychic impulse from the ancients directing him to perform a traditional sacrifice.

What an idiot, he knew I wan't a virgin...

Lol, I love that last line. I also remember that post now where you mentioned his wanting to throw you off. That's interesting that you are the only hit for that search.

Thanks!
I thought it strange I was the only hit too! Hey, I'll take it anyway I can, but figured I could at least give 'em a picture.

Oops, you almost slipped by!
Well... if we were married, and I was still a virgin, I wouldn't blame him for throwing me off the pyramid!

Hey SB, I have a totally off the wall question for you.

When you worked at PB, did you know a William (or Bill) Parker? He worked in management (I think) for a long time, retired from them in fact.

I have something in my head to write and then it dawned on me that you worked there too.

Talked to Mr. SB, and the only Parker we remember is a Steve Parker who was an installer/repairman out of Hayward.
Go with the story- we might remember something!
Do you remember where, or what department?
Now we're intrigued!

Ok, that's not the same guy. Mr. Parker (oh my, can you tell he was my friend's father by how I call him "Mr."?) was in upper management and I know he was out of town a lot for work.

I will go ahead with the post/story. It's more about my friend (his daughter) but he played a major role in the whole thing. I just didn't want anyone who knew him (or his daughter) to read the post as it's going to be from my perspective and therefore will be somewhat one sided.

Ok, The Hubs JUST walked in as I was telling him why I asked you that and he wanted to know if you knew/know a Jim Cox. He's not sure where he worked, but he knows it was for PB (They went to high school together so he'd be closer to the Hubs age, not mine)

So, um, you met Mr. SB at work then? Very intriguing...any dirt there? ;-)

I'd met some VPs, but that name still doesn't sound familiar.

Now Jim Cox is another story!
I worked with Jim (assuming it's the same one) in Fremont. He was a switchman (now called a comm-tech.) Was married, with two boys as I recall. Got divorced and married one of my co-workers Sharlene...

I'll have to blog about how I met my husband, it's a funny story!

That's the same guy. The Hubs just confirmed it. Too funny! They hung out together in high school.

Is that Sharlene in his Classmates.com bio? (there's a picture)...IN FACT, The Hubs just showed me his picture the other day!

The Hubs hasn't kept in touch with Jim since he left the state. They corresponded through email briefly.

Was it something in the water at PB that made all you co-workers get divorces and marry each other? ;-)

Was Jim an ass or nice, The Hubs wants to know :-)

I'll have to take a look at Classmates.com- what H.S.?

I thought Jim and Sharlene got a divorce, and she was remarried... could be wrong.

Jim was the stereotypical nice guy!

Ummmm... yep, must have been the water...

Marina high school in San Leandro (1968 graduating year)

There's a picture of him with presumably his wife. Perhaps third time is the charm for him if that's not Sharlene

That last line was just pure genius, SB -- I'm laughing still! And I was out, so I missed the comment-boat on your daughter's picture, but she was so darling!! Is she the mom of LE's playfriend?

Thanks!
No, the daughter pictured is my oldest.
My youngest is the mom to the grandson.
Did I tell you that I showed him the photo you posted of LE, and he thought it was himself?

It's funny how google works, or doesn't work. Your picture didn't show up for me, but it might be a problem on my end. And yeah, that last line was hilarious!

Don't think I didn't ponder the consequences... like a Mexican prison!
Actually it's quite fun to hear (from our kids) some of the bad luck he's been having.
Karma has been kicking him in the butt, and I have been lucky enough to know about it!

I had kinda wondered about your Ex too as you stated in the "Poo in Aisle 3" post that you were a "single Mom" and yet your eldest was still so young!

Karma Butt Kicking is ONLY fun when you get to hear about it ;-)

You're so right about the Karma Butt Kicking!
Revenge is sweet. Especially when it comes from somewhere else, and you're not a party to it.
