Springtime Means Time To Get Busy!

Scilla Peruviana- Posted by Hello
Beautiful day today. A storm looks to be coming in from the East, out of the higher Sierra.
We've been weeding between the frequent rains.
I'm very surprised at some of my plants which survived winter, especially a deer fern which appeared to have died. I found a new tendril growing just today!
Guests are coming, so I will probably not be posting this week.
But I just might!

Enjoy your guests... I have been weeding also, trying to keep the flowers I have looking 1/2 way decent until I can put some new ones in!

I've been trying very hard to get my garden ready for graduation. I am having friends and family over and right now the garden looks like a pile of poo. I'm hoping that thing will start blooming next weekend so that they are still looking nice by the following Sat.

Oh and the weeds! I was gone all last summer, so the weeds are horrible! What a mess.

Have fun with your guests.

I don't get to have a garden this year because we're putting the pool where my garden was last year. I bought tons of plants and put them in containers on my deck.
They're great and it was so nice to get my hands in the dirt!
Spring might really be here, finally.
Hope you enjoy your guests, wish I could have some.

cheesecakey-
We're still weeding (while our guests take side trips.)

sylvana-
Hope your garden is performing well, sounds like your graduation is this Saturday?

redwood recluse-
We're doing mostly deck containers too. I need more rosemary and a few more herbs ASAP.

squirl-
YES, I so enjoyed my guests. Lots of extra work, but really worth it!
